The Details | Getting Ready

From the very first moments of the morning, this wedding had a warmth and personality that was completely unique. The stationery was gorgeous, elegant, timeless invitations setting the tone perfectly for the day ahead. Hannah looked absolutely stunning in her lace gown, and the bridal prep was full of those lovely quiet moments, hair, makeup, a little one getting ready alongside mum, that make the morning of a wedding so beautifully special.

The Ceremony | Holy Cross Church, Swainby

Hannah and Will said their vows at the stunning Holy Cross Church in Swainby — a beautiful historic church nestled in the North Yorkshire countryside near Northallerton. Walking through the church gate with the bridesmaids in the most gorgeous dusty blue dresses, the scene was just magical. Inside, the church was full of light, emotion, and that wonderful stillness that only comes in the moments just before a bride walks down the aisle.

Will's face as Hannah walked towards him was absolutely everything — and the flower girl, clearly taking her duties very seriously, was one of the highlights of the whole ceremony. The vows were heartfelt, the readings were beautiful, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Even the family dog, tucked into a pew, seemed to be paying close attention! 🐾

Welcome to the Farm

From Swainby, guests made their way to the farm for the marquee reception — and the entrance alone was worth the drive. A stunning floral hoop arch framed by a big blue tractor set the scene perfectly, with hay bales, wildflower countryside views, and that iconic hand-painted sign reading "We Interrupt Farming Season to Bring You This Marriage of Will & Hannah" — honestly one of the best wedding signs I have ever seen. It was fun, personal, and completely perfect for this couple.

The marquee itself was beautifully dressed — white and green florals, elegant table settings with navy ribbon details, pampas grass, and wheat accents that nodded perfectly to the farm setting. Every detail had been so thoughtfully put together and it showed.

The Golden Hour, Couple Portraits & A Few Unexpected Guests 🐄

With the North Yorkshire hills rolling out behind them, Hannah and Will took a little time away from their guests for some couple portraits and the results were just stunning. Sat together on hay bales with their gorgeous golden retriever joining in, laughing, relaxed, and completely in their element, these are the images I absolutely live for.

And then the dairy cows arrived. Because of course they did. 😂 There's something so wonderfully, perfectly North Yorkshire about having the farm's dairy herd amble over during your couple portraits utterly unbothered, completely curious, and honestly brilliant in front of the camera. Hannah and Will took it completely in their stride, which tells you everything you need to know about this couple. The countryside backdrop, the soft light, the cows photobombing in the background, I couldn't have planned it better if I'd tried. Luke Howell — Close Up Magic 🪄

If you're looking for wedding entertainment inspiration, look no further. Between the ceremony and the reception, guests were treated to the most incredible close up magic from the hugely talented Luke Howell. Watching the reactions of guests — jaws dropping, eyes wide, completely baffled and absolutely loving every second, was honestly one of the highlights of my day. Luke has the most incredible ability to draw people in and create those spontaneous, genuine moments of pure delight, and as a photographer those reactions are just gold to capture. If you're not already considering a magician for your wedding day, consider this your sign and if you're in North Yorkshire, Luke Howell is absolutely your man! 🙌

The Speeches | Tears All Round 🥂

The speeches were something really special. Emotional, funny, heartfelt and full of love — the kind of speeches that remind you exactly why you're all there. There were happy tears, belly laughs, and that wonderful feeling of a room full of people who are completely united in celebrating two people they adore. Tissues were very much required. 😭💛

The Reception

With the speeches having set the most wonderful tone, the marquee celebrations continued with the kind of energy and joy that only a North Yorkshire farm wedding can deliver. The couple's entrance back into the marquee was triumphant, the dancing was brilliant, and the whole day had a magic to it that I felt from the very first moment to the very last.

Hannah and Will what an absolutely incredible day. Thank you so much for having me along to capture every single moment of it. From the gorgeous church in Swainby to the farm, the tractor arch, the speeches, and that beautiful golden retriever stealing the show at every turn, it was a privilege and a joy from start to finish.
