Chelsea & Michael | Holy Trinity Church & Bannatyne Hotel, Darlington
Some days you drive home and you just sit in the car for a minute before you go in.
Chelsea and Michael's wedding was one of those days.
The ceremony was held at Holy Trinity Church in Darlington — a gorgeous, light-filled space that made Chelsea walking down the aisle one of the most beautiful frames of the whole year. Beaming from ear to ear, bouquet of white roses in hand, she walked in on her dad's arm and Michael just... he couldn't take his eyes off her. Those are the moments I live for.
After the vows, the confetti outside the church, and more than a few happy tears, the couple set off on their first journey as Mr & Mrs Merrick in the most spectacular way — a traditional horse-drawn carriage provided by North East Carriage Company, two stunning white mares trotting through Darlington town centre.
I may or may not have had to sprint to the car to beat them to the Bannatyne Hotel. The things we do for the perfect shot. 🤣
Bannatyne Hotel looked absolutely dreamy — white blossom trees as centrepieces, gold throne chairs at the top table, draping, candelabras, the works. Really beautifully put together.
And then the No1 Singing Waiters North East arrived. If you know, you know. If you don't — let's just say "Children of the Night" was belted out with full commitment, every guest was on the dance floor, and the photos from that moment are, shall we say, memorable in the very best way. Do DO Do!
Chelsea and Michael — congratulations. You absolutely smashed it. Mr & Mrs Merrick, I wish you all the happiness in the world. 🥂
