Abbie & Tom Wedding Day, The Saddleroom Leyburn
If you're searching for a wedding photographer at The Saddle Room, Leyburn , welcome. You're in exactly the right place. Abbie and Tom's wedding on Saturday 4th October 2025 at The Saddle Room, Tupgill Park, Leyburnwas one of those days that reminds you just how extraordinary this venue — and this corner of the Yorkshire Dales — truly is. And yes, Storm Amy showed up uninvited. But honestly? She didn't stand a chance.
The Details — The Wedding of Abbie Linathan & Thomas Chadwick
The wedding stationery said it all: The Wedding of Abbie Linathan and Thomas Chadwick, Saturday 4th October 2025, The Saddle Room, Tupgill Park, Leyburn. A little perfume bottle, some delicate jewellery, and that elegant flat lay set the tone for everything that followed — considered, beautiful, and completely personal.
Getting Ready — Calm Before the Storm
Abbie's bridal portrait before the ceremony is one of those images you just stop and stare at. Shot in gorgeous window light, her long-sleeved lace gown from The Bridal Collection of Lancaster with its intricate floral detailing and low open back was an absolute showstopper. Her hair and makeup by The Style Lounge was natural, glowing and timeless — the kind that photographs as though it was made for golden October light.
The Ceremony at The Saddle Room
The Saddle Room's ceremony space is genuinely one of the most beautiful in North Yorkshire. Soaring oak-framed ceilings, dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the room with light, statement candelabras, and those gorgeous gilded mirrors — it creates an atmosphere that is both grand and deeply intimate all at once.
Tom stood reading his vows, smiling to himself in front of one of those ornate gold mirrors — a moment of pure, quiet joy. The ring exchange, the signing of the register, Abbie laughing with her mum beforehand, her bridesmaid resplendent in deep forest green — every moment in that room felt significant and full of feeling.
Braving the Elements — Outdoor Portraits in the Dales
Storm Amy threw everything she had at us. Wind, rain, drama — Plans A through D were firmly in our back pockets. But here's the thing about The Saddle Room at Tupgill Park: even in wild weather, the landscape is absolutely breathtaking. The rolling Dales hills stretched out behind the couple in every direction, dramatic skies doing nothing but adding to the atmosphere.
And then — the rain paused. The wind stayed (oh, it stayed) but we took our chance. Confetti outside. Portraits outside. Abbie and Tom dipping and kissing against a backdrop of open moorland and sweeping green valleys — genuinely stunning. The photographs from those outdoor moments at The Saddle Room are some of the most dramatic and romantic I've ever taken at this venue. That combination of Yorkshire wilderness and two people completely lost in each other is simply magic.
Family, Friends & The Speeches
The family group shots outside the beautiful stone façade of Tupgill Park captured the sheer warmth of this wedding — proud mums, beaming dads, laughing siblings. Tom's dad delivering his speech, microphone in hand, clearly giving it everything — the look on Abbie's face as she listened said it all. Emotional, heartfelt, full of laughter, proud parents, shaky voices and happy tears. The whole room was hanging on every word.
And the food — goodness, The Saddle Room delivers. An incredible spread of individual cupcakes topped with fresh berries and blueberries, artisan pastries, figs, and a grazing table that looked almost too beautiful to eat. Almost.
The Venue — Why The Saddle Room at Tupgill Park is One of North Yorkshire's Finest Wedding Venues
If you're planning a wedding in the Yorkshire Dales and you're considering The Saddle Room at Tupgill Park near Leyburn, I cannot recommend it highly enough. As a Yorkshire Dales wedding photographer who has had the privilege of working there, the variety of settings it offers is genuinely remarkable — from the stunning oak-framed Great Hall with its cathedral windows and candlelight, to the wild open countryside and the gorgeous stone estate buildings outside. Whatever the weather, this venue delivers.
It's the kind of place where every photograph feels effortless, because the backdrop does so much of the work — and when you add two people as wonderfully relaxed and joyful as Abbie and Tom, the results speak for themselves.
