The bond between horse and rider is something only another horse owner truly understands. As an owner myself, I know exactly the kind of images you'd want to keep — honest, emotive, and timeless. Not stiff and staged, but the real relationship between you and your horse, captured the way it actually feels.
Equine photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I've been behind a camera. Growing up around horses means I'm completely at home in a yard, a field, or a forest — and your horse will know it too. Animals always relax around people who understand them, and that calm shows in the images.
What's possible
Sessions can be at your yard, out on location, or a combination of both — you choose. I work across North Yorkshire, County Durham, and the surrounding area. Whether you're after dramatic black background studio-style portraits, natural outdoor shots, horse and rider action, or a mix of everything, we'll chat it through beforehand and plan a shoot that's right for you and your horse.
A couple of practical things
Having a helper on the day to assist with attention and positioning makes a big difference — a shaking bucket goes a long way! Getting your horse in the night before so they're reasonably clean is a big help too, though don't worry too much — that's what editing is for.

Sessions start from £350, including shoot time and 15 fully edited high resolution images delivered digitally. Additional images available to purchase separately.
