Second time at Redworth Hall this year, and it absolutely did not disappoint.
Rebecca and Andrew — or Becca and Andrew, or as a select few will know, Andrew and Rachel (if you know, you know 😆) — got married on 9th April 2026 at the magnificent Redworth Hall Hotel in Newton Aycliffe, and honestly, what a day.
Let me tell you about Rebecca for a second. She completely got it. We had a conversation early on about photography — about why it matters, why it's worth investing in properly — and she just understood. You spend so much time and money planning your wedding day. Every detail considered, every supplier chosen with care. So why would the photographs be an afterthought? You only get one shot. (Yes, that was intentional.)
That kind of trust means everything to a photographer. And it showed in every single frame.
Now. Black tie. Always a win in my book, and this lot absolutely delivered. Andrew and his groomsmen in sharp black tuxedos, bow ties and all, looking like they'd just walked off a film set — that shot of them striding across the courtyard in front of the hall might be one of my favourites of the year so far. Meanwhile Rebecca was getting ready upstairs in the most beautiful off-the-shoulder satin gown, those gorgeous emerald and diamond details running through her jewellery right down to that stunning engagement ring.
The bridesmaids were in the softest sage green — a colour that felt completely intentional against the warm stone of Redworth's exterior and the rich dark wood of the ceremony room inside. The florals were classic white roses and gypsophila, clean and timeless. The ceremony room itself was dressed with trailing white florals from floor to ceiling — the confetti kiss shot in that space is something else.
Redworth Hall is a venue that rewards a photographer. There are so many layers to it — the leaded windows, the grand staircase, the oak-panelled rooms, the courtyard. We used all of it.
Rebecca and Andrew — congratulations. Thank you for trusting me with your day, and thank you to every single one of your guests for making me feel so welcome. The Norths are officially in business. 🥂
