Paige & Jordan | The Saddle Room Wedding, Leyburn

Oh, this one. I've been looking forward to this day for a while.

Paige and Jordan were originally booked in for 2024, but they made the very excellent decision to postpone for a year so they could have baby James first. And honestly? Best call they ever made. Because James in his little checked suit and green braces, being launched into the sky by his dad against a backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales, is one of the best things I've photographed in a long time.

The wedding was at The Saddle Room, near Leyburn in Wensleydale, and if you haven't come across it — where have you been? It's one of those venues that genuinely takes your breath away. Sweeping lawns, a beautiful stone manor, rolling dale views in every direction, and spaces ranging from the intimate Bell Barn ceremony space to the grand reception room itself. It has everything, and on a sunny May day it is absolutely spectacular.

Paige got ready in one of the new cottage conversions and that staircase shot with the birdcage chandelier? Chef's kiss. She looked genuinely stunning — the off-the-shoulder gown with pearl-trimmed sleeves was just perfect for the setting, and that cascading bouquet of white roses and eucalyptus was exactly right. Her bridesmaids were all in deep forest green satin, and I am not exaggerating when I say they were an absolutely formidable squad.

The ceremony was outside on the lawns — Paige and Jordan had their heart set on it, and they got their wish. Blue skies, the Dales stretching out behind them, and Paige wiping a tear away as she reached Jordan at the altar. That moment. I will never get tired of that moment.

After the ceremony the grounds just came alive. Guests spilling across the lawns in the sunshine, ladies holding onto their hats, a bridesmaid being the best squad ever. Pure joy, everywhere I pointed my camera.

Jordan and Paige also had their gorgeous fox red Labrador with them — green bow tie on, sitting between them like an absolute professional — and then there was James, who at various points: sat on the steps with the dog and grinned like he'd won the lottery, poked a groomsman in the face during the ceremony, and got launched into the air by his dad while Paige looked on with total delight. Absolute scenes.

The reception inside The Saddle Room was everything — beautiful stone walls, huge arched windows, and that incredible gilded mirror that makes every speech photo look like a painting. Jordan's speech clearly went down a treat, judging by the look on Paige's face.

Paige and Jordan — thank you for calling me a GOAT. I genuinely didn't know what to do with that, but I'll take it. It was such a privilege to spend your day with you both. Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Binns. 🤍
