Katie & William | Rushpool Hall Wedding Photography | Saltburn-by-the-Sea

Some weddings are just bookings. And then there are weddings like Katie and Will's — the kind that stay with you long after you've driven home.

I've had the privilege of photographing some truly special days over the years, but this one hit a little differently. Katie has been a bridesmaid at not one but *two* of my other weddings, so when she trusted me to be behind the camera for her own big day, I honestly could have cried. (I might have. Just a little. Don't tell anyone.)

Katie and Will were married on 23rd March 2026, starting with a ceremony at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, before heading to the stunning Rushpool Hall for their reception. And what a venue. That gothic stonework, those sweeping stone steps, those ornate interiors — it's the kind of place that makes every frame feel effortless.

But honestly? The venue was almost upstaged by the dress. Katie wore the most extraordinary wildflower embroidered gown — poppies, stems, petals tumbling across sheer flutter sleeves — and it was so completely, perfectly *her*. Unique, romantic, a little unexpected. I could have photographed it all day. (I basically did.)

The whole day had that beautiful warmth that comes when everyone in the room genuinely loves each other. The bridesmaids in their deep teal gowns, each carrying dried wildflower bouquets in soft dusty pinks and whites. Will in his tweed three-piece with a dried botanicals buttonhole, looking out the window like he was trying very hard to hold it together. The dad with the rings, wearing the proudest smile. The confetti chaos outside the church doors — everyone arms outstretched, petals flying. That end-of-the-evening shot with the bouquet raised in the air and the whole world in that one kiss.

Katie and Will — you are two of the softest, most beautiful souls I know, and you deserved every single second of that day. Thank you for letting me be part of it. Congratulations. 🥂
