Hannah & Josh Wedding, Yorebridge House, Bainbridge
Hannah & Josh | Wedding Photographer at Yorebridge House, Bainbridge, Yorkshire Dales
If you've been searching for a wedding photographer at Yorebridge House in Bainbridge, settle in — because Hannah and Josh's wedding is everything this extraordinary venue deserves, and then some. Tweed suits. A vintage MGB. A tractor exit with the entire wedding party piled on. Flower boys. A gravy fountain with Yorkshire puddings. Table names featuring Clydesdales and Highland cows. And through it all, one of the most genuinely joyful, warm, wonderfully Yorkshire weddings I have ever had the privilege of photographing.
This one goes straight into the all-time greats.
The Details — A Wedding Made for the Dales
From the very first detail shot, this wedding told you exactly who Hannah and Josh are. A feather and pheasant buttonhole tucked into a rich green tweed. A bespoke jacket lining embroidered with Hannah & Josh. Table signs illustrated with Clydesdale horses and shaggy Highland cattle — because when you're a farming family at heart, every detail tells the story of the land you love. The florals from Lavender and Bee were wild, lush and deeply romantic — rich burgundy dahlias, blush roses, trailing greenery — the kind of bouquet that looks like it was gathered from a hedgerow at golden hour.
Getting Ready at Yorebridge House
Hannah got ready in one of Yorebridge House's stunning dark-walled bedrooms, all moody sophistication and beautiful light — a perfect backdrop for those morning moments. Her gown, hanging in the window, was breathtaking — intricate beaded lace, a fitted silhouette and a veil that swept behind her beautifully. Hair by Sonny Playforth Hairdressing and makeup by Charlie Jarred Beauty & Aesthetics had her looking absolutely radiant — warm, glowing and completely herself.
The bridesmaids in their deep forest green were the perfect complement to the whole palette of the day — rich, earthy and deeply rooted in the landscape surrounding them.
And the ceremony room at Yorebridge House? Dressed with trailing greenery, statement dark florals, gold chiavari chairs and those gorgeous dark walls — it was intimate, elegant and full of personality. Absolutely stunning.
The Ceremony — Flower Boys & Feeling Every Moment
Let's talk about the flower boys — because they absolutely stole the show, scattering petals with enormous enthusiasm down the aisle ahead of Hannah. Pure joy, pure theatre, and the kind of moment that has every single person in the room laughing and crying at the same time.
Josh waiting at the altar in his beautifully cut green tweed three-piece, watching Hannah walk towards him — that look on his face said everything. The vows, the rings, the moment they became Mr & Mrs Barningham — captured candidly, naturally and with all the emotion it deserved. The magician, Tim Lichfield, kept guests thoroughly entertained during the drinks reception — another touch that spoke to exactly how much thought and personality went into every single element of this day.
The Reception — Yorebridge House at Its Very Best
If you're looking for a luxury wedding venue in the Yorkshire Dales, Yorebridge House in Bainbridge is simply one of the finest. The reception room was dressed impeccably — individual wooden place name tokens, glassware catching the light, those incredible illustrated table names, and the most beautiful three-tier wedding cake decorated with seasonal florals and topped with a miniature cow. Because of course it was.
The legendary gravy fountain — with proper Yorkshire puddings — needs its own moment of recognition. This is peak Yorkshire wedding energy and I am absolutely here for it.
Lauren Barningham created the most incredible cake, and Good Food Story catered what I'm certain was a feast to match the setting.
The Tractor, The MGB & The Yorkshire Dales Countryside
And then came the moments that made this wedding truly unforgettable as a Yorkshire Dales wedding photographer.
The whole wedding party — every single guest — lined up across the field with not one but two tractors behind them for the full group shot. The scale of it, the joy of it, the sheer Yorkshire-ness of it. Then the bridal party piled onto the tractor — bride, groom, groomsmen, all arms raised, all completely elated — against a backdrop of open Dales countryside stretching to the horizon.
And then — the vintage copper MGB convertible. Hannah leaning out of the back, arm raised, hair flying, laughing as they drove the winding stone-walled lanes of Wensleydale. The couple walking hand in hand down an empty Yorkshire road, sunglasses on, completely at ease. The tweed detail shot. The feather buttonhole. All of it woven together into a gallery that is rich, characterful and deeply, beautifully them.
